Patriarchy is a term that makes most Americans uncomfortable. Feminism has convinced our culture that all patriarchies are oppressive and evil. However, there is a group of pastors and commentators making a point to reclaim the term biblical patriarchy. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Michael Clary to discuss biblical patriarchy, what it is and what it isn’t, how it differs from complementarianism, and common misunderstandings surrounding the phrase. We’ll also respond and react to a recent tweet from Owen Strachan that condemned men who wish to dominate their wives. All this and more so stick around
